RAIPUR: Amid concern over students of Chhattisgarh stuck in Kota in Rajasthan, there are reports that around 24 students of class 9th of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) at Mana Camp in outskirts of Raipur are stranded in Shimoga district of Karnataka. The students were sent to Karnataka as part of a school camp to learn regional language.As per the details sent to TOI by one of the parents of stranded students, of 24 students, 16 schoolchildren are from Baloda Bazar, five from Raipur and three from Gariaband districts were in Karnataka. The parents complain that the students are minor and it is difficult for them to take care of themselves and they should be rescued as soon as possible.Principal of JNV, Raipur Uma Prasanna Pani told TOI that the commissioner of the central-level JNV committee are in touch with the ministry of human resource development and railways to arrange the return of the students.Raipur collector Dr S Bharatidasan told TOI that arrangements are being made at the central-level to bring back the children of Navodaya Vidyalaya in Raipur at the earliest.
